On Purpose
Reflections on living fully, embracing love, and finding meaning in the everyday
What’s my purpose?
Once upon a time I thought my purpose would be described by a title, a business I owned or was part of, an action or movement I would partake in…
Today, I feel that every day I’m living more on purpose - and it’s nothing like that first idea I held.
My current state of affairs: there’s no bold statement, impressive career or outstanding lifestyle.
Although, I am very committed to live from a place of love - bringing light and compassion to those around me, to anyone I interact with.
This sentence constantly comes to mind, slips out in conversation, and anchors me everyday:
“We are one.”
Oneness…that’s my purpose.
To remind us that the invisible barriers that separate us are just ilusions.
We are divine, we come from one source and will all return to it.
So why is this sense us vs them so prevalent?
We are born. We live - hopefully a fullfilling and exciting journey - and we die.
We have parents, siblings and grandparents. We eat, drink, play and work.
We care for our loved ones, we worry about our future and get nostalgic about our past.
At our core, our desires are much the same: to be accepted, loved, and to feel that we matter.
What truly separates you and me, really?
I am committed to encouraging diversity of thought, form and action - to open horizons and clear the paths that lead to love.
My purpose is to bring more love into others’ lives, and to foster more compassion and acceptance for all that is.
I might do this through a conversation, a hug, a home-cooked meal, a prompt to try something new and step out of your comfort zone, or a gentle nudge to see beyond the binary of the matrix.
My purpose is to be a channel of God’s love - without boudaries, restrictions or demands. An expression of the Universal Love that is available to all of us, starting from within.
As I share this with the world, I also come to accept myself too as a vessel of divine love - a container for the Soul.
This has become a way of living, and it’s what makes me feel trully alive.
Purpose is a concept that caused a lot of insecurities in me, simply because I couldn’t see the bigger picture. When I looked at the journey of my soul - this infinite existence - suddenly the clouds dissipated, and my vision became clear.
Living on purpose is a day-to-day practice.
It flourishes in all the things we think, say or do.
Notice that your purpose right now is simply walking this Earth plane and leaving it slightly more heavenly than it was when you arrived.
Love for all, peace for all,
Moni
